Two Chief Commissioners of the State Police assigned to the Catanzaro Police Headquarters: Dr.
Giulia Ceravolo and Dr. Giuseppe Travagliante.
This morning, the Chief of Police of Catanzaro welcomed two new State Police Officials
from the Enna Police Headquarters, Dr. Giulia Ceravolo and Dr. Giuseppe Travagliante.
Dr. Ceravolo, originally from the province of Catanzaro, graduated with honors in law
from the University of Calabria in 2014. She completed a training internship at the Civil Section of the
Court of Appeal of Catanzaro between 2015 and 2016, obtaining her qualification to practice law
in 2017.
After serving in another Public Administration, in April 2021 she passed the
State Police Commissioner competition and, at the Higher School of Police in Rome,
graduated with honors with a Level II Master's in "Law, Organization and Security Management".
After completing the 110th Training Course, in July 2022 she was assigned to the Enna Police Headquarters,
where she headed the Immigration Office, achieving the elimination of waiting times for
the issuance of residence permits in the province.
Since January 2024, she has headed the General Investigations and Special Operations Division (D.I.G.O.S.)
of the Enna Police Headquarters. During her tenure, she managed the claims of the agricultural sector and
coordinated several judicial police investigations, with constant attention to the repression of
crimes against the Public Administration.
As Head of D.I.G.O.S., on many occasions she assumed the functions of Chief of Staff
of the Enna Police Headquarters, handling institutional relations with the press and coordinating
the Chief of Police's Staff Office.
Dr. Travagliante, originally from the province of Enna, graduated with honors in
Law from the University of Enna. Between 2015 and 2017, he completed a training internship
at the Criminal Section of the Enna Court, obtaining his qualification to practice law.
In April 2021, after passing the State Police Commissioner competition, he
attended the 110th Training Course at the Higher School of Police in Rome,
graduating with honors with a Level II Master's in "Law, Organization and Security Management"
from the Sapienza University of Rome.
In July 2022, he was assigned to the Enna Police Headquarters as Head of the
Leonforte Detached Public Security Police Station.
He directed multiple public order services, participated in judicial police investigations in
collaboration with the Enna Mobile Squad, against common and organized crime, including
mafia-type crime, helping to dismantle several mafia groups operating in various areas of
the Enna territory.
From today, at the Catanzaro Police Headquarters, Dr. Giulia Ceravolo takes on the role of Deputy Chief of Staff
and Spokesperson for the Chief of Police, and Dr. Giuseppe Travagliante takes on the role of
Officer assigned to the Mobile Squad and from July 1st as Acting Head
of the General Prevention and Public Aid Office (U.P.G.S.P.).
