Weekend of news in the Giallorossi camp between present and future, with the planning of the new season underway against the backdrop of the eighth year of Noto's management, under which Catanzaro has achieved wonderful results. With DS Ciro Polito confirmed, the focus then shifted to the technical situation, with coach Caserta set to be satisfied with the requested salary adjustment, but with one issue still to be resolved. The coach would like a one-year extension to his contract, which expires in June 2026, but the club does not seem willing to grant this request. The meeting with the coach has been postponed to the start of the week, with days of reflection ahead for both coach and club as they await a resolution. Meanwhile, work is also being done on certain contract extensions expiring in 2026, such as Iemmello, Pigliacelli, and Petriccione. The captain and the former Palermo goalkeeper are expected to extend for a further year, while for "diez" Petriccione, a two-season extension is likely. DS Polito's work continues, having secured goalkeeper Marietta, class of 2002, from Albinoleffe, and could sign Pagano outright from Roma after last season's good performance. On the outgoing front, news broke yesterday of Spezia's interest in Marco Pompetti, although nothing has been confirmed from Catanzaro. There will certainly be interest from Serie A for the player from Pescara, but for now, Catanzaro has no intention of letting go of their gem, who is under contract until 2027.
