The difficulty for many families in accessing rentals at rates compatible with their income continues to represent a significant social problem. Real incomes are not increasing and, in fact, for many have decreased, accentuating the imbalance between the growing demand for rental housing and an insufficient supply of spaces in positions that are at the same time stable. The dynamics of rents are increasing precisely because of this imbalance and due to the recovery of inflationary trends. The stakeholders are therefore trying to develop ideas and proposals—which are not lacking—to break out of this sort of vicious circle.

This morning, in the presence of Mayor Nicola Fiorita, the most representative trade unions of property owners filed the new territorial agreement with the municipality of Catanzaro. Present were: Federproprietà Calabria with Ugo Gardini, Federproprietà provinciale with Giovanni Pintimalli, Uppi with Giuseppe Pascuzzi, Union Casa with Giuseppe Conte, Asppi with Dario Fabiano. Also present were the tenants' representatives: Ania with Giuseppe Cavaliere, Unione Inquilini with Antonio Fragiacomo, Feder.Casa with Pietro Romeo, Fenit with Piero Menniti.

With the filing of the new territorial agreement, the trade associations contribute to fueling the public debate on the housing issue, hoping for the identification of shared solutions aimed at curbing rents, helping to match supply and demand for housing, and encouraging the agreed-rate rental contract.
