“Catanzaro looks out over the sea with awareness, pride, and a vision for the future. The return of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour to our city is not only a great sporting and tourist event, but also a valuable opportunity to rediscover our maritime identity and reflect together on the opportunities for sustainable and inclusive development that our territory can offer.”
This was stated by city councilor Igea Caviano, commenting on the program for the Catanzaro leg of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour, scheduled from June 16 to 18, 2025, at the port of the marina district, the only Calabrian stop of the prestigious national circuit.
“This event,” Caviano continues, “is about sports, but also about culture, environmental education, responsible tourism, and the enhancement of local resources. The talks ‘Catanzaro, the sea is for everyone’ and on ‘Cassiodoro’ scheduled for June 17, are important opportunities to focus on the theme of accessibility to the sea as a common good, from which to start again to build an increasingly open and supportive city.”
During the three days, there will be sailing regattas, sports workshops, tastings, musical moments, themed talks, and entertainment for families, with the participation of associations, economic operators, and institutions. “A broad and participatory network that demonstrates how ready Catanzaro is to believe in the enhancement of its waterfront not only for the duration of the event, but with a lasting perspective for the revival of the marina district.”
“The sea is a precious resource, but only if it is protected, experienced, and told with respect and responsibility. This event is a concrete first step to put the sea back at the center of our community’s life,” concludes councilor Caviano.
