May 7, 2011 marked a milestone date for the cultural scene of Catanzaro: the Museo del Rock, born from the dream of Piergiorgio Caruso, opened its doors. Since then, thanks to the enthusiastic response from musicians, journalists, and industry professionals, it has become a recognized reality well beyond national borders. As proof of this success, Friday, June 6 at 6:00 pm, the Museo del Rock in Catanzaro will receive a prestigious award. The Official Beatles Fan Club Pepperland of Rome will present a plaque for “the valid and precious musical, artistic, and cultural contribution, provided with great passion over the course of its long-standing activity”.
Piergiorgio Caruso expressed his emotion: “Receiving this plaque from such a prestigious Fan Club is the recognition of work carried out over the years with care and great commitment. We have always promoted musical culture, and not only that, with free concerts and events of various kinds. I want to share this moment with all those who have always supported the Museo del Rock with their attendance, helping it grow thanks to a shared passion.”.
The award will be presented by Luigi Luppola, President of The Official Beatles Fan Club Pepperland, on the proposal of Bruno Panuzzo, Calabria Representative of the Fan Club.
The evening will not only be a ceremony, but also an opportunity to celebrate the legendary Liverpool band. The program will include a short debate on the Beatles, an exhibition of vinyl records and memorabilia of the band and, to conclude, it will be possible to listen to a medley of some of the most famous songs of the ‘Fab Four’ performed by Bruno Panuzzo.
