“As Regional Councillor for Social Policies of the Calabria Region, I am pleased to announce the approval of the public notice "Allegra-mente: projects for active ageing", financed through the PR Calabria FSE+ 2021/2027.

This initiative is part of the broader Regional Plan to support vulnerabilities that we have developed with the aim of responding in an integrated way to the needs of the most vulnerable segments of the Calabrian population, particularly those at risk of social exclusion.”

This was announced by the Regional Councillor for Social Policies of the Calabria Region, Caterina Capponi.

“With Allegra-mente – specifies Capponi – we intend to concretely support active ageing, in full coherence with what is provided for by the 2024–2026 Three-Year Operational Programme on active ageing, approved by Regional Council Resolution no. 539 of 19 October 2024, in implementation of Regional Law 12/2018.

We have allocated a total contribution of 3 million euros, resources that will be used to promote initiatives aimed at citizens residing in Calabria who are at least 60 years old. In particular, we want to prioritise those who live alone and in their own homes, often more exposed to isolation and vulnerability.”

“Applications to access the contributions – which range from a minimum of 50,000 to a maximum of 150,000 euros – may be submitted by Third Sector Entities, as defined by art. 4, paragraph 1 of Legislative Decree 117/2017, starting from the third day following the publication of the Decree in the BURC, through the Third Sector platform at: https://banditerzosettore.regione.calabria.it, where a dedicated area for the notice will be set up. To ensure a fair distribution of activities throughout the Calabrian territory – explains Councillor Capponi in conclusion – we have divided the financial allocation by provincial areas. My hope is that concrete, innovative and socially impactful proposals will come from all parts of Calabria, capable of improving the quality of life of the elderly, strengthening local networks and building truly inclusive, supportive and participatory communities.”
