This is to inform you that tomorrow morning, in the port area, at 10:30 am, there will be a press point with councilors and members of the Navy to present the village, the activities, and the initiative.
For the second consecutive year, Catanzaro is ready to welcome the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour, the sailing tour of Italy that from June 16 to 18 will enliven the maritime district with a rich calendar of free events open to everyone.
The initiative, organized by Difesa Servizi in collaboration with the Navy and SSI Sports & Events, with the support of ENIT – National Tourism Agency, will bring the excellence of Italian sailing and numerous activities for families, enthusiasts, and the curious to the city.
For three consecutive days, the port area will be transformed into an experiential village, with regattas, workshops for children, food and wine tastings, music, and themed talks that focus on the sea as an identity, cultural, and tourist resource for Catanzaro.
The program includes regattas of the Inshore, Waszp, and Wing classes, which will offer a spectacle on the sea in front of the city.
The program will officially open on Monday, June 16 at 10:00 am with the inauguration of the village and the first races at sea. In the afternoon, at 7:00 pm, the presentation of the book “Diario di Bordo 2024” will precede the evening DJ set with a live performance by Pazz. Among the ongoing activities: sports workshops (surfing, windsurfing, diving, sport fishing, and sailing), Open Day of the Italian Sailing Federation, and demonstrations by Italian Kiteboard champion Alice Ruggiu.
On June 17, there will be a focus on discussion and enhancement of the territory with talks at 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm on the recognition of the Blue Flag and the project “In the Places of Cassiodorus.” This will be followed by the official Blue Flag ceremony at 8:00 pm, accompanied by tastings of local products curated by Arsac, the AMC sea train, and the evening DJ set with Classic Mode.
