professionals in the construction sector.
CATANZARO – A mark of beauty, hospitality, and aesthetic elegance has transformed the
spaces of the Ente Edile - Training and Safety of Catanzaro. The artistic intervention
was signed by the Academy of Fine Arts of Catanzaro, thanks to the collaboration between professors
Giuseppe Negro and Giorgio Carnevali, who designed and created, with the contribution
of their students, the geometric decoration that characterizes the interior walls of the
facility.
The project, just completed and presented in recent days by the leaders of the two institutions,
represents an exemplary model of the "Third Mission" to which the Academy is called, in
which art dialogues with professional training and the territory, enriching the daily life of
future operators in the construction sector.
"The space," said artist and professor Giuseppe Negro, "today presents itself as a
harmonious and vibrant place. The design, inspired by the work of my teacher Alessandro
Mendini, restores dignity and meaning to geometry as an architectural and
artistic language. The intervention also includes a series of sculptures made with the
mosaic technique that accompany the wall decoration, creating an immersive and
warm environment."
Christian De Masi, vice president of the Ente Edile, emphasized the symbolic value
of the intervention: "It is a gesture of welcome towards the new generations who attend our
courses, a way to transmit to them the value of culture in a context that deals
with prevention and technical training, but also speaks through
beauty."
"It is a project that goes beyond simple embellishment," added the director
of the Academy, Virgilio Piccari, "and fully responds to the vision I have shared
since the beginning of my mandate: to open the academic institution to the territory, making
beauty a daily practice. In this intervention, one perceives the value of architecture, the
rigor of our urban civilization, and affirms the role of art as an instrument of
social qualification."
Satisfaction was also expressed by the president of the Board of Directors of the Academy, Stefania
Mancuso, and by the president of the Ente Edile, Giuseppe Caputo, both present at the
inaugural ceremony of the project. However, the collaboration between the Academy and the Ente Edile does not
end with this initiative: in fact, a memorandum of understanding has been activated for
training in the field of Safety, involving Giuseppe Funaro, architect
and professor and Head of the Prevention and Protection Service of the Aba.
The Ente Edile - Training and Safety operates in the provinces of Catanzaro, Crotone, and Vibo
Valentia as a joint body for the promotion of training, safety, and
professional qualification in the construction sector. It offers pathways of

guidance, updating, retraining, and prevention for workers, companies,
young graduates, and unemployed people, contributing to the improvement of technical skills

The initiative is part of a broader vision of collaboration between public and

increasingly active in promoting artistic projects in the service of the community.
