At the Day Center for people with disabilities of the Fondazione Città Solidale - Third Sector Entity, located in Catanzaro, on via Tommaso Campanella, a manual workshop activity was held with the support of the well-known artist Luigi Verrino, a sculptor and painter from Catanzaro, who wanted to offer a valuable opportunity to the guests of the service. A morning marked by solidarity and intense attention, which was met with gratitude and satisfaction from all those present, both staff and young people.
With great delicacy and professionalism, the sculptor was able to involve the young apprentices on multiple levels, making them feel like protagonists in the creation of a beautiful work of art, which Verrino himself wanted to donate.
The guests of the “Daniela e Minozzi” Day Centers were invited to visit the exhibition of works by Renato Guttuso at the Galleria Arte Spazio on via Lucrezia della Valle, on days and times that will be adapted to their needs and possibilities. Maestro Verrino gave the students a publication featuring his sculptural works exhibited in various Italian centers, including the bust of Mimmo Rotella, recently placed at the Mediterranean Biodiversity Park International Sculpture Park (Marca Open), during a press conference of the highest international cultural standing promoted by the President of the Province of Catanzaro, Mario Amedeo Mormile. The artist Luigi Verrino declared himself happy to have had the opportunity to create a work together with the students of the Fondazione Città Solidale, thanks to the manager Dr. Annarita Tolomeo.
