Not just a simple concert, but a true rap opera. This is whatAnastasio, the major musical guest of the daMargherita festival in Catanzaro, will bring to the stage. A live show that promises to be unmissable, scheduled forFriday, June 20 at 10 pm, with free admission, in the heart of the green lung of the historic center. The bandstand of the city's ancient garden will light up with one of the sharpest, deepest, and most clear-sighted voices of the contemporary Italian scene.
After the release of his latest album “Le macchine non possono pregare” (Woodworm/Universal Music Italia), Anastasio returns to the stage and, before the official tour in the main Italian clubs, will stop in Catanzaro to bring the rap opera live, accompanied by the release of the graphic novel of the same name. After the triumph of X Factor and the explosive energy of his first singles, for the Campanian rapper it is time to focus on an independent and profound project, without majors and compromises, the beginning of a new chapter, sincere, powerful, visceral. Speaking about the latest album, Anastasio commented: “This album is something different: it’s a story, an epic, I would call it ‘a rap opera’. Above all, it’s a dream, it’s the album that would make the kid I was proud. I wrote it in total freedom, it took me four years.” Anastasio (who has always written all his songs) has never liked talking about himself, but has always preferred to put into music what he thinks and bring it out through his writing, songs made of vivid images, words that sometimes weigh like boulders and other times fly light as a feather.
The daMargherita festival is ready to welcome Anastasio as one of the highlights of a seventh edition that, among talks, music, and cinema, will once again prove to be a great container of culture and entertainment open to all contaminations.
