Music will be the main protagonist at the daMargherita festival in Catanzaro. Villa Trieste is ready to transform into a large open-air stage, hosting a packed series of live events, from June 17 to 22 all strictly with free admission, bringing together different styles and genres to speak to audiences of all ages. Among the most significant concerts to mark on your calendar is the one on Thursday, June 19, from 10 p.m., with TÄRA: a Palestinian singer, born and raised in Italy, who has transformed her life experience into a powerful and universal message.
Growing up in a foreign country was an intense and formative journey for her. The difficulties forged her determination and led her to proudly reclaim her Palestinian roots, eager to carry forward the message and history of her people in search of authenticity. Today, TÄRA is an artist proud of her culture, committed to creating a safe space for all those young people who, like her, have had to face the challenges of living in a context that did not represent them. With her music, she wants to be a symbol of representation and strength for the Palestinian community and beyond. From Palestine to the Ionian coast, through beats, memory, and pride, at daMargherita she will present the project “Arab’nB,” which combines R&B sounds with the language, melodies, and vision of her cultural heritage. A precious and innovative contribution to the Italian music scene, touching hearts and offering a voice in a historical period she defines as dystopian.
A bridge between cultures, between urban soul and identity, which will give way, in the second part of the evening, to a musical trio strongly linked to the territory: Catanzion, Kuanito and Maddawg. Multiple voices, one sound, a single energy that runs through the most authentic roots of dancehall and reggae, promising to make the villa’s audience dance and have fun, with rhythm, words, and vibes.
