NOTIZIE, Sport,

The first Master for the Youth Sector, strongly desired by the National Coaches Committee, will start next June 5th in Catanzaro, at the Pala Giovino.

The first Master for the Youth Sector will start next June 5th in Catanzaro, at the Pala Giovino, strongly desired by the Calabrian National Coaches Committee and its manager Simona Pronestì, who worked in close collaboration with the Cna Commission, composed of national trainer Gianni Tripodi and regional trainer Angelo Salerno. A valuable opportunity to provide coaches with the skills needed to help young talents grow, focusing on technical, tactical, and methodological enrichment.

The Master, which from the very beginning has been strongly supported by Fip Calabria and its president Paolo Surace, is designed to meet the growing demand for professionalism in the world of youth basketball, especially in Calabria, where improving coaches' skills is fundamental for the continuous growth of the basketball movement. It is not just about teaching playing techniques, but about training professionals capable of working on both the physical and mental development of athletes.

The training program is structured for coaches operating in the Calabrian territory. The topics covered are related to the youth sector.

The program benefits from the collaboration of high-level experts, including physical trainer Valerio Tolomeo, Maurizio Messina, professor at the University of Catania, national trainer Giovanni Tripodi, and national coach – head coach of Fulgor Fidenza, Stefano Bizzozi.

Simona Pronestì, head of Cna Calabria, emphasizes how this project was strongly desired to meet the need for continuous training, with the aim of providing coaches with concrete tools to improve the performance of young athletes. "Calabrian youth basketball needs increasingly prepared coaches who are able to work on every aspect of the game. This Master was created precisely to meet this need, offering specific and targeted training. We are very satisfied with the support received from Fip Calabria, which unanimously embraced this initiative,” said Pronestì.

Paolo Surace, president of Fip Calabria, added: "The launch of this Master for the youth sector is a fundamental step for the future of our movement. As Fip Calabria, we have always believed that the growth of basketball comes from the quality of our coaches' training in order to continue producing talents.”
