The Calabrian singer-songwriter Januaria was among the protagonists of the latest episode of Amadeus's television show “Like A Star”, on channel Nove, the singing competition in which participants perform by transforming themselves into some icons of Italian and international music.
Januaria Carito - an artist from Catanzaro, born in 1988 - competed in the "Amy Winehouse" team, taking on the role of the British singer considered by "The Times" as the best solo singer of the 21st century.
In the studio with Amadeus, the fixed jury composed of Elio, Rosa Chemical and Serena Brancale, who have the difficult task of choosing the best singer-performer of each episode and declaring the winner of the season.
The episode opened with the three contestants of the "Amy Winehouse" team, who so impressed the jury that they outperformed the opposing team.
Januaria, moreover, won as the best performer of her team, gaining direct access to the final showdown of the episode: a double victory, considering that she received the jury's praise and was also the most voted by the audience present in the studio. Too bad she was not able to win the title of episode winner, although not everything is decided yet according to the repechage mechanism provided by the program.
“Like A Star” continues to promote talent, passion and charisma: these are the ingredients that each contestant must display to achieve the goal.
With her gritty and moving temperament, Januaria brought to the stage – once again – all her enthusiasm and skill, honoring Calabria and the city of Catanzaro.
