Ethos Jazz Review starts, July 10, 16 and 31, 2025, at the Ethos venue in Catanzaro.
The journey of the Jazz Itinera Festival continues, making a stop in the regional capital in
collaboration with the Ethos venue in Catanzaro.
The festival, called Ethos Jazz Review, will run from July 10 to July 31.
Jazz concerts also extended to the Soul and Blues genres.
Jazz Itinera, led by Artistic Director M° Francesco Miniaci, helps bring the positive values
of jazz music to our region by promoting high-profile events both
from a didactic/historical and concert perspective.
For several months, various points in the region have been touched with guests of great
artistic caliber such as Marcello Piras, Daniele Scannapieco, Nico Gori, Giovanni Amato, Elena Welch and
many others, receiving flattering reviews from audiences everywhere.
Ethos Jazz Review is an initiative that involves live music with three unmissable
appointments of Jazz and Blues music.
It will start on Thursday, July 10 at 10 pm with a blues concert, opening the festival will be the
guitarist from Cosenza Eugenio De Luca Jazz Three.
Eugenio De Luca graduated in jazz guitar with top marks, virtuoso guitarist and
singer passionate about blues music. His impeccable technique and his warm and
engaging voice create a distinctive and captivating sound. The concert creates evocative atmospheres and
helps enrich the sound of the musicians he collaborates with. The numerous collaborations
especially in Blues music have led him to play on important stages, always receiving
flattering reviews from audiences and critics. The lineup: Eugenio De Luca Voice and
Guitar, Corrado Mendicino on Organ, and Fabio Lizzani on Drums
Next, on Wednesday, July 16 at 10 pm, a Soul music concert with Elisa Brown 4tet.
Elisa Brown (stage name Brown), vocal coach and leader of choral groups throughout Italy. A renowned
singer in Italian Gospel music, who has dedicated years to studying the healing power of the voice.
She has performed hundreds of concerts and collaborated with important musicians on the
national and international scene.
The lineup: Elisa Brown on vocals, Egidio Ventura on piano, Frank Marino on electric bass,
and Maurizio Mirabelli on drums.
Thursday, July 31, 2025, to close the festival, there will be a Jazz concert, with a repertoire
of Standards, Andrea Paternostro 4tet.
Andrea Paternostro, a young saxophone talent from Cosenza, who for several years has been
receiving accolades by collaborating and playing with nationally and
internationally renowned musicians such as: Giovanni Amato, Giuseppe Venezia, Elio Coppola, Flavio Boltro, Achille
Succi, Jerry Weldon, Walter Ricci, Maurizio Urbani, Massimo Manzi, Emanuele Cisi, Joe
Lovano, Paolino Dalla Porta, Dado Moroni and many others.
The lineup: Andrea Paternostro Saxophone, Egidio Ventura Piano, Mimmo De Paola
double bass, and Maurizio Mirabelli drums.
All concerts will be held at the Ethos venue in Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, 11 in
Catanzaro.
