
The Lions Club International District 108YA awarded the "Gaetano Tre Re" Award for Excellence in Business and Professions to Luigi Verrino, with the following motivation: "a successful entrepreneur and artist who, with the originality and innovation of his sculptural language, recognized internationally, has been able to express emotions through matter, contributing to the development of contemporary culture and aesthetics. Currently, these days, after having placed his bronze sculptures in public places in the presence of the highest cultural and institutional authorities, including the International Sculpture Park Parco Biodiversità Marca Open in Catanzaro, he is creating an artistic fountain in the historic center of Zagarise, his hometown, where he is planning the setup of a new wing of the Museum of Contemporary Art, always under his Artistic Direction, and the implementation of works in his House-Museum. Luigi Verrino is also organizing a major exhibition for the summer. For his long and prestigious career he has received several awards.
