Catanzaro – “Everyone knows, but no one acts. Why, even today, has the video surveillance system not been installed on Viale Isonzo? When I asked this question directly, Prefect Castrese De Rosa invited me to turn to the Municipality of Catanzaro. So we publicly address Mayor Nicola Fiorita: when will the long-awaited cameras finally be installed to monitor what many now call the ‘Caivano of Catanzaro’?”
Raising the issue is the Association La Tazzina della Legalità, which has been active for years in the Calabrian territory alongside citizens, victims of illegality, and law enforcement.
“We will not stop and will continue to urge and press the institutions to honor the commitments made before the community. We ask ourselves: what happened to the Permanent Security Committee for Viale Isonzo, announced several times? Silence cannot and must not be the answer.”
Finally, the appeal: “We ask the Undersecretary of the Interior, Hon. Wanda Ferro, who has always been attentive and present on this issue, to once again be the spokesperson for the citizens’ demand for security and to strongly push for the concrete implementation of what was promised. Institutions cannot turn the other way.”
