The Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section of the Catanzaro Company, as part of services aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens, carried out an inspection of 12 automatic snack and beverage vending machines, operating 24 hours a day, located in the regional capital.

The current regulations provide for a ban, from 00:00 to 07:00, on the sale or serving of alcoholic beverages in public spaces or areas, and the checks carried out by the Carabinieri found that 7 out of the 12 vending machines did not comply with this provision.

Due to the irregularities found, the vending machines were subjected to administrative seizure and fines were imposed on the respective owners, for a total amount of about 35,000 euros.

The operation is part of the ongoing commitment of law enforcement agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and, therefore, greater safety for all citizens.
