CATANZARO – 23 JULY 2025.  The Catanzaro Municipal Theatre once again opens its doors to an original event, capable of combining culture, education, and social interaction. On Friday, July 25, from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm, the stage of the historic venue in the heart of the old town will host a free cooking course dedicated to fish, conceived and led by Antonio Franzè, founder of the Luna Convento brand and a well-known figure in the Calabrian food and wine scene.

Not just a simple show cooking, but a real journey through the secrets, pitfalls, and curiosities of the fish universe, with the aim of making consumers more aware and revealing everything that often remains hidden behind the fish counter. At the end of the course, it will also be possible to request the slides with the in-depth content of the lessons.

Admission is completely free – also for two companions – and the initiative is part of a series of events that Franzè has launched to share his passion and culinary skills with the public in a welcoming and informal atmosphere.

To participate, booking is required via the link:

This is not a show nor just any lesson – explains Franzè himself – but a genuine moment of knowledge and dialogue with the people who follow my work. That’s why I chose the Municipal Theatre: because it’s a symbolic, vibrant, welcoming place. And because I want my gift to my guests to be unforgettable.

Strongly believing in this type of proposal is Francesco Passafaro, artistic director of the Catanzaro Municipal Theatre, who emphasizes: “Events like this confirm the vocation of the Municipal as a crossroads of experiences that speak different languages, but share the desire to create beauty and community. It’s not just a theatre, it’s a place that breathes with the city, that remains open all year round, where art, outreach, and social interaction meet. This is how a historic center stays alive: by nourishing it with encounters and enchantment.

A unique proposal of its kind, capable of bringing new audiences closer to the theatre and enhancing a cultural and social heritage that, with creativity and generosity, is renewed every day.
