The summer lights up with the Summer Edition
The journey of the Festival d’Autunno begins on August 6 with an enchanting prelude, the evocative ‘Summer Edition’. The most iconic places in Calabria — from Soverato to Montauro, Borgia, and Squillace — will become a personal stage under the stars.
Strong and diverse emotions will overwhelm the audience with their recognized quality: from Pierdavide Carone’s intimate tribute to Lucio Dalla (August 6), an evening where notes become memories, to the pure visual magic of Over The Rainbow (August 7) by the Artedanza Company of Giovanni Calabrò, where the body becomes poetry.
Surprising will be the bold fusion of Carmen Jazz Fantasy (August 19 and 20), a jazz reinterpretation of Bizet’s famous opera with the exceptional trio formed by Alessandro Meacci, Francesco Salime, and Erica Salbergo. On August 21, the ‘Summer Edition’ will bid farewell with the vibrant soul of the battente guitar of the Francesco Loccisano Trio, a sound that will stay with you.
Autumn in Catanzaro: the beating heart of Culture
From October 2, the Festival will turn its spotlights back on in the heart of Catanzaro. Palazzo De Nobili, the Teatro Comunale, the Teatro Politeama, and the MARCA Museum will become temples of art, hosting talents who have conquered national and international stages.

The autumn program promises a true mosaic of emotions. With Danzando con Jane (Austen) (October 2) and Cleopatra, the latter in its absolute national premiere, we will rediscover the strength of women who changed history.

Music will envelop you in a thousand shades: from the unmistakable voice of Alice, with her reinterpretations of some songs by Italian singer-songwriters, to the bold journey with Paolo Fresu and Petra Magoni, who will read some classics composed by David Bowie in a jazz key. The pop opera The Three Musketeers, with a stellar cast (Giò Di Tonno, Vittorio Matteucci, Graziano Galatone) will bring to life one of the most beloved stories in the world.
Dance will be pure wonder: the fascinating evolutions of Cosmos by the Evolution Dance Theatre, with choreography by Anthony Heinl, and the eternal love of Romeo and Juliet with the Balletto del Sud and choreography by Fredy Franzutti will capture your heart. There will be lighter moments with the sharp intelligence of Arianna Porcelli Safonov (October 26) and the liberating laughter triggered by the acute comedy of Giorgio Panariello (November 3).
