Official presentation Friday, July 18, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Lido Valentino Beach Club in Giovino
CATANZARO – JULY 14, 2025. Restoring to everyone the right and joy of experiencing the sea. With this goal, the Rotary Club Catanzaro, District 2102, aims to achieve the same with the fourth edition of the #AccessibleBeaches project, a now well-established initiative that over the years has offered a concrete opportunity for inclusion to families and people with disabilities.
Following the success of previous editions, for the months of July and August 2025, equipped oases of 12 square meters each have been set up at the Lido Valentino Beach Club, in the beautiful location of Giovino.
Spaces designed to welcome, free of charge, people with mobility difficulties or in situations of economic fragility, with an infrastructure that is unique of its kind: an automated walkway, designed to ensure safe and easy access to the water, even without accompaniment.
An initiative that fully embodies the Rotarian spirit of “service above self-interest” and once again sees the virtuous collaboration between Rotary Club Catanzaro, the Zarapoti Social Cooperative, and the Lido Valentino Beach Club.
The official presentation of the project will take place on Friday, July 18 at 6:00 pm, at the Lido Valentino Beach Club with a public event of institutional and social significance.
Introducing the event: Ferdinando Saracco, President Rotary Club Catanzaro; Giuseppe Mazzei, creator and coordinator of the project, Past President Rotary Club Catanzaro; Fabio Corigliano, Vice President Zarapoti Cooperative; Carlo Maletta, Past President Rotary Club Catanzaro and member of the District Commission for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The meeting will be moderated by Fabio Scavo, Prefect and President of the Public Image Commission of the Rotary Club Catanzaro.

The project, already appreciated by families, associations, and third sector operators, aims to serve as a replicable model for local administrations, so that public beaches are also equipped with accessible services for everyone.
“We are convinced – reads the note from Rotary Club Catanzaro – that the sea, with its benefits for the body and spirit, must be a right and not a privilege. And our initiative wants to prove it with facts. Rotary will always stand by those who work to break down barriers – physical and cultural – and improve the quality of life for everyone.”
