The Carabinieri of the Soverato Company, together with the soldiers of the Anti-Adulteration and Health Unit (N.A.S.), have implemented a coordinated and complex territorial service regarding the inspection of commercial activities on the maritime state property, in order to verify compliance with the quality and safety standards of the services offered to customers during the holiday period.
The inspection activities have so far focused on kiosks.
During the inspections, poor hygienic and sanitary conditions were found in the laboratory of a kiosk, with spaces shared with the staff's bathroom and changing room. In addition, over 20 kg of irregular food intended for serving to customers, which lacked traceability, were seized.
In total, administrative fines amounting to approximately 4,000 euros were imposed.
The Carabinieri Corps renews its daily commitment to protecting the community. The inspections by the Soverato Carabinieri and those of the NAS, as well as other specialized units of the Corps, will continue throughout the summer along the coast to ensure safety, compliance with regulations, and to allow residents and tourists to enjoy a peaceful summer in the splendid setting of the Soverato area.
