Everything is ready in Borgia for a new major event in the summer program “Borgia Summer Vibes.” This evening the  Summer Camp by Radio Deejay will make a stop in Piazza Ss. Rosario with an exceptional headliner:  Dargen D’Amico!

A true crowd-pleaser, Dargen D’Amico arrives in Calabria for a lively DJ set, joined by  DJ Aladyn and Francesco Quarna, with their on-stage appearances and music selections.

Rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer, Dargen D’amico is among the most eclectic and poetic representatives of the contemporary Italian singer-songwriter scene. Over his career, he has released twelve albums, some of which have changed the history of Italian hip hop. Dargen is credited with pushing the boundaries of the genre by blending rap with refined Italian music in a unique style, characterized by deconstructed language and a balancing act between the meanings of words. He has repeatedly collaborated with Fedez, Fabri Fibra, Marracash, Rkomi, Benny Benassi, Enrico Ruggeri, 883, and Tedua, just to name a few. He was also a judge on “X Factor” and has performed on the Sanremo stage: unforgettable “Dove si balla” and, in the latest edition (2025), “Onda Alta,”  a civil poem about migration, seas crossed, and lives lost. A song that has become an anthem for peace and respect for human rights, for which Dargen D’amico has just been awarded the prestigious “Best Human Rights Song 2024” by Amnesty International Italy and “Voci per la Libertà.”

Tonight in Borgia, it’s not just about music and carefree fun, but also an important message of civic engagement and solidarity. A true call to collective conscience.

“We welcome with great joy to our town and our summer an artist like Dargen D’Amico who, with his music, brings added value to our program. Borgia Summer Vibes, more than ever this year, hosts a variety of top artists for every taste and every type of audience. Tonight’s event combines entertainment, rhythm, but also reflection and commitment. We will be with him on stage to share his message and let ourselves be swept away by the ‘high wave’ of his music.” said the mayor of Borgia,  Elisabeth Sacco.

“Having an artist of Dargen’s caliber in Borgia with the Summer Camp by Radio Deejay is a victory for Borgia and for its people. His song Onda Alta has become an anthem for anyone who values respect for human rights. Politics, even in small towns, has the moral duty to address all issues and bring constitutional matters back to center stage. Dargen, like the other artists, is not just another name in a program, he is a deliberate choice. Long live freedom.”, said the Councillor for Cultural Policies  Virginia Amato.

For the occasion, Palazzo Mazza will also be open to the public from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Admission to the concert is free: see you at 9:45 pm. All information about upcoming shows at  www.visitborgia.it
