In Catanzaro there is an old saying: “A silent dove cannot be served,” meaning that those who do not make themselves heard cannot receive help…
And in fact, the proposal that catanzarocitymagazine.it made yesterday to Distillerie Caffo with the request to enhance and safeguard the historic CINZANO sign located in the Sala district, received an immediate and positive response from the company, which showed a willingness and sensitivity that was anything but taken for granted.
This is literally the response we received from Nuccio Caffo, the owner of the company: “Good morning, we are available to take care of the restoration and enhancement of this historic sign, provided there is agreement from the Municipality and authorization from the owners of the building.”
We hope that the relevant administrative offices, and not least the property owners involved, will show the same sensitivity and generosity.
We are also happy to note that the idea has generated enthusiasm among many citizens, and it seems that many had already thought about it... evidently it was a shared desire, just waiting to be expressed. And of course, we are pleased to have been the first to pick up on that common feeling and turn it into a concrete proposal.
A small gesture, perhaps, but full of meaning: when an urban symbol meets the foresight of a business rooted in the area, something beautiful can be born.
