Our newspaper, always so attentive to the city, intends to promote an initiative that aims to combine urban enhancement, historical memory, and territorial marketing.
The proposal is addressed to the Caffo Distillery, a flagship of Calabrian entrepreneurship, known worldwide for the production of Amaro del Capo, a liqueur excellence synonymous with quality and tradition.
Founded in 1915, Caffo has grown to become a leading group in the alcoholic beverages sector, with a broad and prestigious portfolio that today also includes a historic brand like CINZANO, recently acquired and internationally known for its vermouths and sparkling wines.
In Catanzaro, this historic brand has become a true "urban icon" as for several decades it has stood out on an old building located on Viale degli Angioini, in the Sala district, in the southern area of the capital. It is a gigantic "CINZANO" sign painted directly on the wall, whose colors have withstood the test of time and are still sufficiently clear and vivid. For those traveling this very busy street heading towards the city center, it is impossible to miss!
In light of this latest important acquisition by Distillerie Caffo, we asked ourselves: why not enhance it? It would be wonderful if this historic sign were restored, protected, and perhaps finally illuminated!
The Caffo company could cover the necessary expenses (which we believe are quite modest), obviously placing the CAFFO logo alongside it.
We are certain that this would result in an undeniable image boost!
It would also be a way to visually tell the story of the connection between past and present, between Catanzaro and a great Calabrian company.
A small intervention that would have a great impact: on collective memory, on the image of the Sala district, and on the prestige of a brand that continues to write the history of taste.
We have sent out the message. Will it be received? What do you readers think?
