The thirty-one municipalities that make up the Catanzaro Social District, with Catanzaro as the lead municipality, signed this morning at Palazzo De Nobili the agreement for the coordinated exercise of administrative functions and the joint management of services and activities provided for in the Area Plans pursuant to Law 328/2000, in the Local Implementation Plan, as well as the Action and Cohesion Plan - Elderly and Childhood and any other possible areas of intervention and in district projects financed with regional, national, and European funds. At the signing of the agreement, the capital was represented by Mayor Nicola Fiorita, also present were the Councillor for Social Policies Nunzio Belcaro, the head of the department Antonino Ferraiolo, and some officials. The latter, in particular, reported on the various items on the meeting's agenda for which they were responsible.

"Collaboration between local authorities," commented the mayor, "is fundamental to making each one's policies effective. Managing services and resources within a formal coordination tool is important especially because administrations often have to face objective difficulties, related to staff shortages or budget availability. Therefore, common work, operational synergy, become the best practice that can make the implementation of social policies easier and more effective, because," Fiorita concluded, "spending is qualified, operators' skills are enriched, and by doing so, the responses given to citizens become quicker and more incisive."

Councillor Belcaro, for his part, emphasized that "from the signing of the agreement arise for the lead municipality precise responsibilities for the proper functioning of the organization as a whole, both from a strictly bureaucratic point of view and, above all, from an operational point of view.
