On June 30, 2025, the Chief of Police of Catanzaro welcomed Dr. Celestino Frezza, who takes on the role of Head of the Administrative and Security Police Division of the Catanzaro Police Headquarters.
Deputy Chief of Police Celestino Frezza, originally from the province of Naples, graduated in Law in 2005 from the Second University of Naples.
In 2007, he passed the competition for State Police Commissioners, after which he attended the 98th training course for Commissioners at the Higher School of Police in Rome, during which he obtained a Level II Master's degree in "Security Sciences" from the University "La Sapienza" of Rome.
After completing the 98th Training Course in 2010, he was assigned to the Road Police Section of Alessandria as Deputy Head and subsequently to Florence in the same State Police Specialty.
In 2014, he was transferred to the Police Headquarters of Prato, where he headed the General Prevention and Public Aid Office (so-called Flying Squad) and from 2016 the General Investigations and Special Operations Division (D.I.G.O.S.), where he coordinated important judicial police operations and managed public order and security services.
Since 2018, he has headed the General Prevention and Public Aid Office of the Police Headquarters of Latina, achieving significant results both in terms of prevention and territorial control activities and in terms of enforcement, completing several judicial police operations.
Since 2020, he has been assigned to the Police Headquarters of Caserta as Head of the detached Police Station of Sessa Aurunca, during which time he prioritized territorial control activities and the fight against Camorra clans historically present in that area.
In December 2023, he was appointed Head of the detached Police Station of Formia (LT) and also, on an interim basis, Head of the detached Police Station of Gaeta (LT), continuing in this area the fight against Camorra clans and always paying close attention to territorial control activities.
With the start of the Jubilee Year at the Holy See, in November 2024, he was called to reinforce the Lazio Railway Police Department as Head of the Rome Termini Operational Unit.
Since yesterday, at the Catanzaro Police Headquarters, Dr. Celestino Frezza has taken on the role of Head of the Administrative and Security Police Division.
