“The 2025 edition of the cultural festival “da Margherita” ended with extraordinary participation and great satisfaction, once again enlivening one of the most beautiful, symbolic, and potential-rich spaces in our city. It was an intense journey, made up of meetings, art, words, relationships, listening, and shared visions. A concrete demonstration of how much, in this city, there is a need for moments like these: open, accessible, lively places capable of generating community and a sense of belonging.
Our sincerest thanks go to all the people who came to visit us. To those who participated with curiosity and warmth, to those who contributed with their work, ideas, commitment, and passion. To those who made every single event possible, both inside and outside the official program. It was truly wonderful. Everything that happened in these days gives us back the profound meaning of what we tried to build together.
The area of Villa Margherita is now undergoing redevelopment work. This is an outcome that, when we started this festival years ago with the desire to rediscover and bring this place to life, we imagined and strongly hoped for. We are happy about it. And we hope that this really marks the beginning of a new phase in which the Villa will once again become a fully usable space, cared for, and continuously inhabited by cultural and social initiatives worthy of its history and value.
“da Margherita” is not just a party. It is a cultural, civic, and social event. A collective workshop that is built from the ground up every year, with care, responsibility, and vision. For our part, we will work to ensure that all this can happen again next year, with even more organization, planning, and quality.
We would like this festival to grow further, to become better structured and last longer. But to do so, clear conditions are needed. Real and transparent sharing is needed, first and foremost from the city administration, present or future, so that this journey can be seen as a strategic opportunity to be built together. For us, such sharing can only be based on merit, the quality of the proposals, and the ability to generate public and social value.
We hope that in the future, even among the events that enliven the city, this festival can receive the recognition it deserves. Not out of a need for visibility, but for the real value it has shown in terms of content, participation, urban regeneration, and cohesion.
We are here, and we will continue to be. With the same spirit, with the same enthusiasm, and with the same idea of Catanzaro: a city that believes in culture, that takes care of its spaces, that cultivates relationships and imagines tomorrow.”
