The Municipality of Catanzaro informs citizens that, starting today, an extraordinary cockroach control program will begin in the main tourist areas of the city, aimed at ensuring hygiene, healthiness, and urban decorum during the summer period.

This schedule, arranged at the expense of the Municipal Administration, supplements and strengthens the plan prepared by the ASP of Catanzaro, which remains the body responsible for pest control activities in the municipal area. The activities will take place on the following dates: June 26, July 15, July 28, August 11, August 25

The areas involved in this first phase are: the Seafront, Viale Crotone, Via Europa, Giardini San Leonardo, Via Italia.

The interventions are carried out inside manholes, using products and techniques authorized by the National Health System. These are safe, targeted operations and do not require any preventive measures by citizens. The Municipality deemed it necessary to intervene in an extraordinary way in the areas with the highest tourist influx to provide an even more timely and widespread service. In the coming weeks, the schedule will be extended with new interventions in other neighborhoods and areas of the city, to ensure increasingly comprehensive coverage.
