San Vitaliano Celebrations 2025: notice published for fairs, exhibitions, and food and wine trail (OPEN THE LINK)
As part of the program of celebrations in honor of San Vitaliano, Patron Saint of the City, scheduled from July 14 to 16, 2025 in the historic center, the Municipality of Catanzaro announces that the explanatory notice regarding fair, exhibition, and identity food and wine trail activities has been published.
The initiatives, co-designed with the Pro Loco Catanzaro, will include cultural, fair, and entertainment activities, involving local economic operators, artisans, hobbyists, and public businesses.
The program includes:
The San Vitaliano Fair, reserved for operators authorized for trade in public areas in the fields of crafts and collecting.
A hobbyist market and exhibition stands for local artisans and agri-food producers (excluding food trucks and food service), with the sale of packaged products.
An identity food and wine trail curated by the city's public businesses, dedicated to promoting typical dishes of Catanzaro's tradition.
Fairs and exhibitors:
To participate in the San Vitaliano Fair, it is necessary to:
Hold an authorization for trade in public areas;
Submit an application, exceptionally, by June 30, 2025, using the form available on the Municipality's official website, in the Economic Activities and SUAP section.
For hobbyists, artisans, and food and wine producers:
The application must be submitted to Pro Loco Catanzaro APS no later than July 3, 2025, using the online form available at the following link:
Participants will receive stands, counters, electrical system, and lighting. To cover organizational costs, the Pro Loco will require a participation fee. Economic details will be communicated directly to applicants.
Identity food and wine trail
Public businesses on Corso Mazzini, Via Jannoni, and nearby streets may:
Occupy the spaces in front of their businesses to offer a dish or menu from the local tradition;
Send a request by July 3, 2025 to the email address: sanvitaliano@comune.catanzaro.it, indicating:
Name of the business and full address;
Proposed dish or beverage;
Contact details of a representative.
Public businesses in the rest of the city may participate in the trail through stands provided by the Pro Loco, after filling out the online form by July 3, 2025.
In this case as well, operators will be required to pay a fee for organizational expenses, including stands, electrical system, and CUP. Gas stoves or elements with open flames will not be allowed.
