“It is good to be satisfied when something positive is done, as in the case of the roundabout on Via Lucrezia della Valle, which was built by Anas after the experiments in recent months had brought benefits to traffic flow. The roundabout solution, instead of the old traffic lights, worked both because it made travel smoother and faster, and because from a safety point of view it also helps regulate the speed limit in a particularly busy area. For intellectual honesty, it is therefore right to acknowledge Anas's exclusive commitment to this operation, which was agreed in advance with the highest public safety authorities, as part of the work plan affecting the road networks in Catanzaro. In this matter, the municipal administration benefited indirectly, remaining in the limbo of normal institutional dialogue, which perhaps someone has overemphasized. But since we are always ready to recognize everyone's merits, we once again take this opportunity to urge the mayor, the public works councilor, and our colleague Carpino to, given the success of the 'first,' carry forward our proposal for a second roundabout at the intersection for Via dei Conti Falluc. Near the traffic lights, there is a spot that could pose a more serious risk of accidents, between cars and motorcycles turning right and left toward offices and businesses. This would be the right opportunity to complete the new traffic design in an area that, due to the long-term works at Sansinato, has become a primary access hub to the city.”
