"There is an unfortunate situation that for several weeks has been making life impossible for a citizen, forced to use a wheelchair, and literally unable to leave his home. On Via della Chiesa, in Santa Maria, the sidewalk is severely damaged, presumably due to the maneuvers of Amc buses which, with their weight, have shattered the tiles of a section of the pedestrian area." This was reported by city councilor Giovanni Costa (Lega). "This state of affairs causes inconvenience to all residents and, in particular, to people with disabilities who, without someone's help, are unable to use wheelchairs and strollers on the affected sidewalk. The administration has been aware of the situation for over a month, but there is still no news of any scheduled interventions to remedy the problem. I don't think any particular economic effort or expertise is needed—especially if the problem seems to have been caused by the Amc buses—but only attention and sensitivity towards the neighborhoods and the need for normality."
