Reclamation works in Bellavista. Palaia: “Restoring decorum to the key points of the historic center”
“After the one on the Santa Maria di Mezzogiorno staircase, the intervention on Bellavista: reclamation of the area, the elevator, and the parking lot, represents a further step to restore decorum to the key points of the historic center. Extraordinary interventions that aim to enhance the urban context as a whole, as well as ensure its functionality.” This was written in a note by Daniela Palaia, municipal councilor with the delegation for the Enhancement of the historic center.
“In the case of Bellavista,” she continues, “the arches that characterize the large retaining wall under via De Seta have been restored to all their beauty, an architectural element of great charm that, as happened for Santa Maria di Mezzogiorno, can also help to relaunch the use of a well-equipped structure, parking lot and elevator, which are very important for accessibility to the historic center. Not to mention,” Palaia concludes, “the positive impact on the redevelopment of the neighborhood which, precisely in these days, is preparing to welcome the new structure, built in via Cilea and intended to host foreign students from the Academy of Fine Arts and the Tchaikovsky Conservatory.”
