NATIONAL SLOT MOB WEEK
The GAP Project also takes to the streets against gambling
On the occasion of the National Slot Mob Week (June 21–28) – an awareness campaign to raise awareness about the spread of gambling addiction, which costs Italians about 160 billion euros a year – the GAP Project (Pathological Gambling) is intensifying its activities with two events to inform, raise awareness, and involve citizens in the fight against gambling addiction.
The mobile unit of the Zarapoti Cooperative, which coordinates the project's prevention activities, will be present together with the team, made up of specialized operators from the Ser.D. of Catanzaro, Progetto Sud, Centro Calabrese di Solidarietà and Zarapoti itself, on June 23, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, in Piazza Prefettura in Catanzaro and on June 28, from 10:30 am, at the Scrivo Lounge Bar in Serra San Bruno.
During the events, a flash mob will be held and the GAP mobile unit will be present for direct interaction with citizens, with a stand for the distribution of informational material, questionnaires, and gadgets.
All citizens, families, educators, and young people are invited to participate actively.
