The new road built in Giovino will be partially open to traffic starting tomorrow, Saturday, June 14, allowing safe passage through the area that has long remained unpaved, starting from the interruption point of the seafront. This was announced by city councilor Igea Caviano.

“The completion of the works that have so far interfered with vehicle passage,” explains Caviano, “in particular those related to the construction of the relevant parking lots, now allows for the provisional opening to traffic with a speed limit set at 20 km/h, to minimize environmental impact and ensure pedestrian safety.”

As part of the ongoing works, the arrangement and delimitation of new parking spaces on the sides of the carriageway are also included, which will be fully usable in the coming weeks. While waiting for the completion of the intervention, the new road will be partially accessible to facilitate vehicle access to the terminal area of Giovino, which is particularly busy during the summer season by tourists and swimmers.

“I want to emphasize,” concludes Caviano, “the great work done by the competent department and the technical offices, in line with the commitment made by Mayor Nicola Fiorita to the community. An important intervention to improve accessibility and services in one of the city’s areas with the greatest tourist potential.”
