As part of the scheduled activities for the protection of public health and urban hygiene, the Municipality of Catanzaro announces that a new schedule of anti-larval and anti-adult mosquito disinfestation interventions has been arranged throughout the municipal area.
The disinfection operations, entrusted by the company Si.Eco to a specialized firm, have already seen the completion of five anti-larval interventions in April and May.
We now announce the start of the anti-adult mosquito disinfestation, aimed at targeting the adult mosquito population. The interventions will be carried out by spraying during the night hours, from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., with the aim of minimizing inconvenience to the public.
In order to ensure maximum safety, citizens are advised to observe the following precautions during and after the treatments:
Keep doors and windows closed;
Keep pets inside the house;
Avoid staying outdoors during and for at least two hours after the treatment;
Do not hang laundry outdoors;
Cover foodstuffs and fruit and vegetable crops, and in any case avoid consuming products without adequate washing within 48 hours of the treatment.
Schedule of interventions:
June 10, 2025 (on the night between June 9 and 10) – North Zone
June 12, 2025 (on the night between June 11 and 12) – Central Zone
June 13, 2025 (on the night between June 12 and 13) – South Zone
Further interventions will be scheduled in the coming weeks and the relevant dates will be communicated promptly.
