The roundabout on Via Lucrezia della Valle at the height of Via della Stazione, in its final form, is about to be completed. This was announced by the Councillor for Public Works, Pasquale Squillace, who recalled that “the project is the result of a positive dialogue between the municipal administration and Anas, which materialized in July last year during the Operational Committee for Roadways. Right from the start,” adds Squillace, “Anas, whom I thank for this project, had built the roundabout in a provisional configuration, in order to ensure the necessary trial period and thus verify its effectiveness and functionality. The positive outcome of this verification finally allowed the start of the works that are about to be completed, to give the roundabout its final layout. This is,” concluded the Councillor for Public Works, “a project that, although small, was eagerly awaited by citizens who, over the years, had repeatedly requested it. Its benefits are easily understood, since it offers vehicular traffic the possibility to choose Via Lucrezia della Valle, free from the bottleneck of the traffic light, as an alternative route to access the historic center and more generally the eastern area of the city. The roundabout also remains an interesting and always appreciated alternative in the management of intersections, allowing for greater traffic flow.”
